A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Belle Vue is an architectural landmark in downtown Lubumbashi. Built by Italians in 1942, the building with a circular facade is decorated with a colonnaded balcony. In 1960, it was transformed into a hospital of the Italian Red Cross before returning to its original function as a hotel in 1980.
